Shabti of Nefer–ib–re
Mummiform shabti wearing a plain tripartite wig, and a plaited divine beard. The arms are crossed on the chest, and the hands emerge from a shroud to hold a pick in the left and a hoe in the right. The right hand also holds the twisted rope for a basket that is suspended behind the left shoulder. The face is fairly well defined. The eyes are large and have cosmetic lines and brows modelled in relief. The shabti is supported by a dorsal pillar, and it stands upon a trapezoidal base. A vertical column of inscription on the front names the owner as Nefer–ib–Re. Transliteration and translation of the inscription: sHD (i)n Wsir im.y-xnt wp nTr.wy Hm-nTr nfr-ib-Ra ir n nb.t-pr In-Hr.t ?, "The illuminated one, the Osiris, the imy–khent priest, the One who Separates the two Gods, the God’s Servant, Nefer–ib–Re, born to the Lady of the House, In–heret".
