Shabti of Nefer–ib–re

Mummiform shabti wearing a plain tripartite wig, and a plaited divine beard. The arms are crossed on the chest, and the hands emerge from a shroud to hold a pick in the left and a hoe in the right. The right hand also holds the twisted rope for a basket that is suspended behind the left shoulder. The face is fairly well defined. The eyes have cosmetic lines and brows modelled in relief. The shabti is supported by a dorsal pillar, and it stands upon a trapezoidal base. A vertical column of inscription on the front names the owner as Nefer–ib–Re. Transliteration and translation of the inscription: sHD Wsir im.y-xnt wp nTr.wy Hm-nTr nfr-ib-Ra mAa-xrw, "The illuminated one, the Osiris, the imy–khent priest, the One who separates the two Gods, the God’s Servant, Nefer–ib–Re, justified".
