56.5.35

Information

Pottery with traces of blue wash, details added in black. Mummiform shabti wearing a plain tripartite wig with a seshed headband tied at the back added in black. The arms are crossed left over right on the chest, and the hands hold a pair of small hoes that are modelled in relief. There is a faint trace of a large plain basket being painted on the back. The face is comparatively well defined. The back of the figure is flat and has traces of finger prints. There is no trace of inscription on the front of the shabti, but a label attached to the base upon which it is mounted says the owner is Nes–Hathor.
