56.20.709

Information

Blue glazed faience mummiform shabti wearing a plain tripartite wig with a seshed headband tied at the back added in black. The hands meet above the waist and hold a pair of hoes added in black. A basket is painted on the back. The face is small and simply defined. The shabti lacks any inscription but despite this it is clearly from the same set as those inscribed for Pa-en-djehuty as their iconography is identical. The only other parallel shabtis are in the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, University College London (4 worker and 2 overseer types UC40047-40052). From Norwich collection, originall number 58.19.
