Information

Green glazed faience shabti wearing a tripartite wig with widely spaced striations added in black. The arms are crossed right over left above the waist, and the hands hold a pair of hoes added in black in varying degrees of clarity. The shabti carries a basket on the back added in black. The face is summarily modelled. A vertical column of inscription on the front names the owner as Tanetamun. Feet are missing. Same type as another shabti in World Museum, number 58.54.14. Transliteration and translation of the inscription: Wsir tA-n.t-Imn, "The Osiris, Tent–Amen". CONDITION NOTE 1998: Running cracks, worn, surface loss, surface dirt, label adhered to surface.
