Shabti of User-hat

Carved wooden shabti figure inscribed for a man named as User–hat. The shabti wears a tripartite wig painted black except for the lower ends of the lappets that are yellow with horizontal red lines. The arms are crossed right over left on the chest, and the hands hold a pair of hoes that are added in black. Bracelets are added in yellow and red. A basket with horizontal line detail is added in red on a yellow ground. A pair of small water pots are suspended from a yoke that is carried behind the shoulders. The exposed flesh of the hands and face are painted red. The face is well modelled with eyes and brows being added in black and white paint. The eye brows are painted quite high above the eyes. A broad collar of beads is crudely painted in red and green on a yellow ground. The body is painted white, with a vertical yellow panel framed in red lines at the front that has a column of hieroglyphs added in black which reads: “The illuminated one, the Osiris, the wab–priest of Amun, User–hat”. Transliteration of the inscription: sHD n Wsir wab n Imn Wsr-HA.t, "The illuminated one, the Osiris, the wab–priest of Amun, User–hat". Feet are broken off. Written in ink on the back PN I B.C. 1600 1500. There is a round sticker on the front with pencil writing (?Amasis),
