Shrine Figure

Lobi society and religion was not centralized and houses were customarily constructed with their own ‘shrine room’ furnished with wooden shrine figures and other items. The shrine figures were dedicated to ancestral deities of the land and the family compound, and were petitioned to help block witchcraft and disease causing agents from entering the compound.
