Frieze of twelve striking cobras wearing sun discs (uraei) on a base. A fragment from the end shrine placed over a coffin.
Wellcome Historical Medical Museum no. 126485: CARVING. Wood, painted black, yellow and red; row of 12 rearing cobras wearing solar discs. (Slightly damaged). 5" x 14". Egyptian. Purchased at Stevens', London, 18 October 1932 Lot 389.
CONDITION NOTE (1998): Base is holed, joining dowel is broken in three places, worn, surface loss, surface dirt
