Fragment of a sistrum with an image of the goddess Hathor. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, corroded, surface dirt. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 125671: [BRONZE] Lower part of sistrum. (Very encrusted); has been painted red. 5½" high. 1200 B.C. With face on either side. On wood block 6¾" x 3 5/8" x 1¼". Egyptian. Purchased at Glendinning's, 19-20 September 1932 Lot 206.
