Cast bronze situla. Corroded surface; handle broken and corroded onto top. Traces of cloth impression on the body. Situla is a Latin word for bucket, and this object would have contained a liquid and be used during religious rituals in a tomb or temple. Excavated by the Egypt Exploration Society, from Square H5, 'redim' H5-575 [1268]. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Highly corroded with some paler green areas, treated with Benzotriazol August 1987.
