Information

A skirt made from gold-coloured fibrous Ribbonwood bark strips plaited together at the waist, with four lines of twining below (one immediately next to the waist plait). There are two sets of ties - one pair at the waist (where one tie is an extension of the waist plait), one pair attached to the lower line of twining. This garment was made by finger-weaving or twining. The techniques used are single and double-pair twining, with two strands per cm. There are three lines of double-pair twining, and the lowest line is single-pair twining.
