Skull Drum / Damaru

A small skull drum made from two crania that are connected at the crowns. The crania are covered with dyed green skins, stretched to create the drum surface. The joint is covered with a silver collar decorated with engraved flowers, possibly lotus and set with small turquoise and large glass stones. Attached to the collar is a beater made from twisted cottons of reds, yellows, and black (a second beater is missing) and a strap of yellow silk and leather with a leather 'endless knot' in the centre.
