Wooden bridge with many boats on the creek. The Union flag flying from the building across the creek in the background to the left of the image. Possibly the General Post office. 'The Soochow bridge - Shanghai' inscribed in album. Albumen print, about 1870. The bridge is also known as Wills Bridge bought in 1873 and a new bridge built in 1876.
