Square vase

Square vase, one of a pair (to LL 6217), with straight sides, slightly tapering downwards, flanged shoulders, rounded at the corners, and cylindrical neck with spreading rim. On the sides, designs of a rockery with flowering plants – peony, prunus, peach, etc., and birds – in brilliant famille verte enamels. On the shoulders, floral scrolls. On the neck, flowering chrysanthemum and lotus and butterflies, and a border with yellow blossoms in a dotted green ground. Base glazed.
