St. Ives

This watercolour is part of the Liverpool Academy Album that was presented to Alderman John Lea (1850 - 1927) in 1926. Pughe studied at the Liverpool School of Art and also in Paris and Rome. She was well travelled and specialised in landscapes and portraits painting in France, Italy and Spain as well as Britain. She exhibited at the Royal Academy, Liverpool and at other provincial art shows. She was recorded as living at various addresses in North Wales.
