St Jude

St Jude the Apostle design for a panel in a stained-glass window by Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Company for Llandaff Cathedral, 1874. Four designs by Madox Brown were used in a three- light window containing three full-length Apostles, each with a subject panel below, and with three angels holding scrolls in the tracery above. Their draperies characteristically are employed to add movement and solidify to the figures within the limitations of decorative patterning.
