St Teresa interceding to calm the Divine Wrath (after Domenico Maria Canuti)

The drawing copies the altarpiece painted by Canuti in about 1671 for the Madonna di Stra Maggiore in Bologna. In foreground on left a kneeling woman in nun's habit (St Teresa) is being led(?) heavenwards by an angel, at the Saint's knees are a monk (looking heavenward) and a couple of cherubs, behind the St are 2 nuns. On the right are a crowd of women children and lame men. In the heavens above a kneeling man (a saint?) and the Virgin mary interced with the seated figure of Christ.
