Information

Bronze statuette of the god Ptah, depicted in characteristic standing mummiform pose, holding a was-sceptre before him, wearing a close fitting cap and a beard. Moulded, with hollow cast pedestal and solid body. Details are delicately modelled and the eyes and collar have gold inlays. There is a tang that extends for 27 mm from the bottom of the pedestal base. There are traces of a hieroglyphic inscription on two sides of the pedestal that may be seen with RT imaging.
