Wooden figure of a man standing in a walking pose with left leg forward and both hands clenched and held beside the waist. Wearing short kilt known as a shendyt. Held in place by pegs on a rectangular pedestal. Pale colour which may be the remains of a once stucco coating that was beneath a polychrome exterior. Norwich Castle Museum acquisition details record that it was acquired by Henry Haggard in Luxor, 1924. Has previously been described as from the Middle Kingdom but is more likely to be later, perhaps Second Intermediate Period/early New Kingdom.
