Stela Fragment

Fragment of a stela with trace of hieroglyphic signs incised on the flat surface. One broken piece is mended and other areas show surface loss. The Museum was given a group of Early Dynastic Period stela fragments from the Egypt Exploration Fund's excavations at Abydos in 1901 and 14.10.01.38c is the only one to have survived the firebombing in May 1941 that destroyed the Museum in the Second World War Two.
