Stela Fragment (Forgery)

Limestone fragment with relief carving of hieroglyphs painted in blue and red (the red pigment rubs off easily). Marked in pencil "75/..." and an annotation in blue on the side. Appears to be a forgery. Sold at Sotheby's 1906, 19-21 Dec Lot 75/12: "Three stelae and various fragments".
