Information

Short string composed of disc beads of shell, faience, glazed steatite and carnelian; three barrel-shaped beads of stone; a pebble pendant; a shell; and a cowrie shell. Found in an undisturbed burial near the hands (placed on the chest) of a child about six years old, placed within a wooden coffin (110 x 30 x 25 cm). From tomb 1001 excavated by the Egypt Exploration Society, 1925-26, and given to the East Anglia Egyptian Society in return for their subscription.
