Information

String of beads and amulets from the burial of a child, dated to the 12th Dynasty. One large faience barrel shaped bead; ball shaped beads of amethyst, carnaelian, garnet and glass; cylinder shaped beads of faience; amuelts of faience, steatite and feldspar. From tomb 1800 excavated by the Egypt Exploration Society, 1925-26, and given to the East Anglia Egyptian Society in return for their subscription. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Pitted surface, surface dirt, beads are worn.
