Small fragment of a broken hollow faience ball. Bichrome faience piereced with a holes for stringing. Was once threaded with a now broken string of small cylinder beads restrung as a necklace about 1910. Purchased in Luxor by Mr J. H. T. Dawson about 1910. Compare with Florence Friedman, 'Gifts of the Nile. Ancient Egyptian Faience' (Providence, 1998), pp. 115, 212 and 259 (cat. nos. 181 and 190). CONDITION NOTE 1998: Broken, pitted, concretions, surface dirt.
