Study for a Decorated Spandrel : Agriculture

WAG 1995.302

Information

Preparatory study for the figure frescoed on to a spandrel of the arcaded ground-floor loggia of the former Palazzo Murari (now the Institut d'Art 'N. Nani') in via S. Nazaro, Verona. This work is a typical of Farinati’s style. He used bold contours and dark wash to create highly expressive sketches. He also often included architectural details. This is a study for a part of a fresco in Verona, Italy, which has now faded.
