Study for 'Intermission'

This sketch is a preliminary drawing for an oil painting by Cowie, entitled 'Intermission', which was painted in 1935. The painting was purchased by the Walker Art Gallery collection (WAG 1104) in the same year from the Liverpool Autumn Exhibition. This drawing was purchased at the same time.
