Study for Love and Beatrice in 'Dante's Dream'

This is a preparatory drawing for Rossetti's epic painting ‘Dante’s Dream’ also in the Walker Art Gallery collection. The focus of this drawing is the figure of Beatrice, who is shown on the right. Rossetti modelled the character on his lover Jane Morris (1839 - 1914).
