Study of a Lancashire Woman

This is a sympathetic study of old age. Jackson's work is held in many local collections, predominantly in Lancashire and Yorkshire. He typically painted landscapes and portraits of local dignataries. He spent many years living on the Yorkshire Coast where he was involved in an artist's colony near Runswick Bay, which included Laura Knight and Charles Oppenheimer.
