Study from William Davis II 16.II.77

There are two more versions of the study of William Davis's oil painting "Corner of a Cornfield" [WAG 1116] -- WAG 9214 and WAG 9215. This version appeared on the cover of the catalogue of an exhibition in 1977 that marked the centenary of the Walker Art Gallery, "The Liverpool Academy Celebrates the Walker's 100th Birthday," curated by Adrian Henri himself. This image is accompanied on the cover by the photograph of William Davis's oil painting.
