Sultry June

Kirkpatrick was best known for landscape scenes, often sentimental in nature. He was born in West Derby, Liverpool, in 1872 and trained at the Liverpool School of Art. From 1904 he taught painting and drawing at Liverpool University. He exhibited many times at the Liverpool Autumn Exhibition and less frequently at the Royal Academy.
