Sunlight and Shadow

Walter Follen Bishop was born in Liverpool and trained in Liverpool at the Royal Institution and Liverpool School of Art. He also attended University College School in London, West London School of Art and Academie Julian in Paris. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1882, at the Liverpool Autumn Exhibitin from 1879, at the Royal Institution from 1884 and at the Royal College of Art from 1903. He was a prolific and successful painter of landscape watercolours.
