A Swollen River, North Wales

Charles L Sanders was a British landscape artist who lived in Liverpool and Conway. He painted land and seascapes, also figures, mainly in watercolour. He exhibited regularly at the Autumn Exhibitions at the Walker Art Gallery between 1879 and 1901. He also exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Cambrian Academy, North Wales, and in Yorkshire.
