LL 1534

A white jasper teapot which has been dipped in blue jasper with white jasper applied decoration. The figures on the body of the teapot were taken from drawings by Lady Elizabeth Templetown (1747-1823). They come from a series of drawings known as 'Domestic Employment'. The white stripes at the base of the pot and on the lid are produced by removing the top layer of blue jasper using an enging turning lathe.
