Teapot

A white jasper teapot, dipped in lilac, with applied white sprigging. The teapot features many of Lady Elizabeth Templetown's (1747-1823) designs. The white stripes are produced by removing the top lilac layer. Wedgwood developed this technique using an engine turning lathe. This teapot is part of a larger set, complete with tray.
