Information

Fragment of painted relief from the temple of Senwosret II at Lahun with a hieroglyph representing a scribe’s tools (Gardiner's sign-list Y4) against a white background. Only half of the rectangular shaped palette, on the right side, is preserved and is painted green/blue. Attached to this by a red and yellow painted cord is a round shaped object painted green/blue, which either represents a bag for powdered pigments or a pot holding water. A red cord attaches this to a reed-brush holder painted white and black with very fine line detail in red. There is part of a flat green/blue line at the bottom and possibly a yellow border at one side.
