Thamnophis sirtalis (Linnaeus, 1766)

Medium-sized snake. Colour variable, individuals may be dark brown, black, green or olive with well defined stripes along the back and sides, alternating black spots or reddish blotches may be seen between the stripes. Length up to 1.3 m.
