Thangka of a Drukpa Kagyu Lama
A silk applique thangka showing a lama wearing a Drukpa Kagyu hat and monastic robes. He is seated on a throne, in front of him is a low table on top of which are several vessels. The applique is surrounded by a dark blue and gold brocase with repeating dragon designs. The 'door' positioned below the thangka is in the shape and style of a Chinese rank badge, again of the dragon. The yellow silk cover is still in place and the bottom edges of the thangka is fitted with silver finials.
