Thoth Amulet

Blue faience figure of Thoth with human headand wearing a full and crescent moon headdress. Inscribed in hieroglyphs on the back plinth, "Thoth, Lord of Hermopolis, the great god, the living truth". Fine technique and perfect preservation except for a slight chip off the beard. There is a hand copy of the inscription made by Professor Newberry on the Newberry-Peet catalogue card.
