A Treatise on Parrots

Henry Stacy Marks (1829 - 1898) rose to prominence with historical scenes but became best known for his colourful paintings of birds. He had a knack of capturing their character and humour with uncanny accuracy. Marks made many scientific studies of avian anatomy and studied the behavioural patterns of birds.
