Tripod Stand

Bronze tripod with a frieze cast in segments with alternate metopes in low relief, one with winged male sphinxes confronting each other divided by a lily, the other with confronted horned goats, their heads turned back, divided by the same motif, supported by three legs formed of three aligned bronze rods with scrolls at the top and with diagonal struts, the three supporting stretchers meeting in a ring (feet broken off). Excellent condition.
