Conch shell trumpet, set in a fine beaten silver mount for the mouth piece and stem/apron. The border of the main silver mount is set at intervals with cabochon coral, turquoise and facetted pasted possibly emerald and ruby. In the centre is a makara with a long snaking body, in its claws it holds conch shells. The makara is surrounded by scrolling lotus. The mouth piece is set with a double headed lotus silver mount.
