Tupinambis teguixin (Linnaeus, 1758)

Large lizard with large head covered in large regular plates, its sturdy body supported by powerful legs, the tail is rounded and much longer than the body. Mainly dark brown or black with groups of white or yellowish spots arranged in bands. Total length 76-142 cm.
