Vase with globular body, tall slender neck, with flaring mouth and spreading foot. Mirror-black glaze on which can be seen traces of a gilt design. On the body are ju-i shaped lappets with floral scrolls. On the neck is an archaic dragon painted in blue and underglaze red. Round the base of the neck is a band of light brown. On the neck, medallions of shou (longevity) characters and stiff leaves and symbols. In the middle of the neck and on the base are raised bands in white with red fret and scroll patterns.
