Information

Vase, on of a pair (to (LL 6720), with baluster body, slightly contracted neck, and spreading mouth and base. Painted in famille verte enamels with touches of gildings. Four upright panels, two containing monsters, the others a phoenix and a pheasant, among rocks and flowering plants. Above the panels, a brocade pattern of curled scrolls on green ground strewn with blossoms and foliage; between the panels, dotted green brocade pattern, inset with archaic dragons and plum blossoms - below, a band of floral scroll on yellow ground. On the neck, emblems and lotus flowers on plain white ground. Borders of hatched pattern and ju-i heads.
