Information

Vase, of baluster form with high shoulders, tall cylindrical neck, with spreading mouth and base; decorated in famille verte enamels in a lustrous black ground. Design, a rock and flowering prunus tree with striped stem and flying birds. On the shoulder, a band of prunus design; and on the neck, design as on the body. Foot and mouth mounted in metal. Mouth cut down. Mark of Chenghua period (1465-1487 AD), but the vase is of Kangxi date.
