Vase, of baluster form with high shoulders, tall cylindrical neck, with spreading mouth and base; decorated in famille verte enamels in a lustrous black ground. Design, rock and two pheasants, peony in flower, magnolia, and peach with birds. Metal mount on feet and mouth. Mouth cut down. Mark of Chenghua period (1465-1487 AD), but the vase is of Kangxi date.
