Cylinder jar with flat rim and incised line beneath. Finely polished surface. Compare with Ali el-Khouli, ‘Egyptian Stone Vessels, Predynastic Period to Dynasty III: Typology and Analysis’ (Mainz, 1978) nos. 734-735. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Pitted, surface dirt, chip at base, scratched on base, label adhered to surface. Danson Catalogue 2 no. 7. Bought by Sir Francis Danson from the widow of Walter Talbot Ready, sold in Paris 14-15 March 1919.
