Vase and cover

Vase, which belongs to a set of five (with three square vases, LL 6333, LL 6794 & 6795), of slender oval form with spreading base, straight short neck, and cover with lion knob. On two sides are ladies and children in garden; on the others, mountain landscape and figures. In the flutes is a chrysanthemum scroll pattern. On the shoulders, ju-i (ruyi ''as-you-wish'') shaped lappets enclosing formal flowers in a ground of cracked ice pattern with scattered plum blossoms. Vases and flowers on neck. Covers to match; and two beakers, LL 6444 & LL 6445 with similar designs complete the set.
