Vase with carved wooden stand
Vase, one of a pair (to LL 28), with slender ovoid body, contracted neck, spreading mouth and base. Painted in famille verte enamels with garden scenes and groups of ladies, illustrating between them the two elegant accomplishments as ''qin qi'' - which names them: zither and chess. On the neck, landscapes; on the shoulders, a band of lozenge pattern with four floral medallions, key-fret on the lip and spiral scroll pattern around the base. Mark of a fungus within double ring under the base. Carved wooden stand in black.
