Vase in quatrefoil form

Vase, one of a pair (to LL 5946), lobed in quatrefoil form, and decorated with designs in cloisonné enamel. On the sides are panels with shou (longevity) characters surrounded by bats, lotus flowers, and archaic fret in colours in a red ground; bordered with lotus scrolls and Buddhist emblems, in a turquoise ground. Above and below are bands of false gadroons; and on the neck, stiff leaves with arabesque ornaments.
